Klaudio Štefančić
Klaudio Štefančić graduated at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb in 1995 (Comparative literature and Art history). At the same faculty, he completed his postgraduate study of literature in 2008. From 1997 to 2000 he worked as a curator at the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery in Zagreb, and since 2001 he has been the director of the Galženica Gallery in Velika Gorica. His area of interest includes modern art theory, media theory and art, as well as curatorial and visual studies. Independently or in collaboration with others, he has curated and organized over 50 exhibitions at home and abroad. As guest lecturer he taught at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, at the Art Academy in Split and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava and Zagreb. He has participated in international conferences in Zagreb and Rijeka dedicated to the contemporary media culture. In 2009. at the Center for Visual Studies from Zagreb he led the research project “Visual Culture and New Media”. Since 2008 until 2015 he taught on the informal educational initiative Curatorial Platform from Zagreb. He is the author of the book “Montage of the organism” dedicated to the work of artist Daniel Kovač (Fraktura, 2005).
