AICA Congress 2001 in Zagreb and Dubrovnik

A couple of weeks after 9/11— the XXXVth AICA Congress was held in Croatia, in Zagreb and Dubrovnik (October 1-9, 2001), under the theme Images of Power/The Power of the Image. Discussed were problems of Strategies of Power, the Legacy of Modernism and the Imperative of Modernity, Institutionnal Frameworks and the relationship of Sexuality and Power.

  Lectures were published in the magazine Život umjetnosti, issue 70 from the year 2003. https://zivotumjetnosti.ipu.hr/70-2003/ The issue is dedicated to the memory of Marijan Susovski (1 February 1943 – 20 October 2003), gathering sub-themes: the legacy of modernism and the imperative of modernity; institutional frameworks; sexuality and power.
